
An overview of the role of an Economic and Commercial Attaché at our Embassy is varied and fast-moving. It requires independent working, contact-making, and astute creativity. Due to our limited number of staff, the job entails an understanding, and comfort with, of a wide range of topics, among them: The Panama Canal, our special economic regimes/laws, and current opportunities for collaborations with other companies, entities, and governments. Main responsibilities include, reaching out to important stakeholders, hosting thought provoking events, generating and executing ideas for alliances with others, producing high level analysis on the current economic landscape and participating in high level discussions with authorities including ministers and ambassadors.
Current projects include establishing ways to collaborate with other countries on a secure and resilient supply chain, educational exchange partnerships and tangible advancements towards a more sustainable environment.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and completed a Graduate Certificate with a 3.93 GPA from American University in Policy, Political Leadership and Gender.
After graduating, I was offered my current position in Washington D.C. becoming the youngest Diplomate the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama hired to work in the United States.
While at American University, I was the graduate recipient of the Alice Paul Award, given to the student who demonstrates a commitment to advancing gender equality.
