Angela Martinez serves as the Regional Director for the Economic Development Administration’s (EDA) Denver Regional Office. EDA is a bureau responsible for leading the federal economic development agenda within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Angela brings more than 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors where she’s served governors, Members of Congress and clients. As part of her work at EDA, Angela has helped shape and lead several multi-agency initiatives, including the Jobs and Innovation Accelerator Challenge, the Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership and EDA’s Regional Innovation Strategies. As regional director, Angela oversees a team of dedicated, mission-driven professionals who invest millions of dollars each year in transformative economic development projects in a 10-state region. Previously, Angela served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for the Motion Picture Association of America where she managed global communications efforts. She has also served clients at several public affairs firms and managed political campaigns. Angela also had the privilege of serving her governor and congressman from her home state of Indiana. Angela earned a Bachelors Degree from Indiana University with a double major in Journalism and Political Science.
