Dr. Cynthia Warrick, President, Stillman College. Stillman College is a Historically Black College (HBCU) located in Tuscaloosa, AL. Stillman is a member institution of the OAS Consortium, and has current students from OAS member countries attending. Stillman is also a recipient of the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Competition 25: Brazil-US Competition for Innovation and Technological Development. The project title is: Building Creativity and Unique Transformative Technology into Next Generation Education (CUTTING EDGE) via Diversity and Green Innovation. The Brazil partnering institution is: Instituto SENAI de Inovação em Química Verde, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Stillman College’s largest degree programs are business administration and biology; these degree programs partner on innovation, economic development, research, and workforce development in Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Supply Chain / Logistics, Environmental Justice, Sustainability & Green Technologies. We have established a new partnership with the University of Alabama on research studying electric vehicle battery recycling and sustainability.
Stillman is in conversations with OSHA and the US Department of Labor to fill the career gap through new program development in Environmental Health and Safety; and Sustainability. We are looking for industry partners to assist with the curriculum development and online program instruction.
