Biography

Enrique Topolansky is the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and a Lecture Professor of Innovation and Business at Universidad ORT Uruguay. He holds a degree in Computer Science, an MBA from Universidad ORT, a Diploma in Computing and Information System from the University of Oxford, and has specialized in innovation and entrepreneurship. With over 21 years of experience in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Topolansky has been a co-founder of the first technology-based incubator in Latin America, Ingenio, and co-created the Latin American Innovation Rally. He has also contributed to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Latin America. He organized the first Ibero-American Venture Day + R, with the support of the Instituto de Empresa de Madrid and the Ibero-American Youth Secretariat. He was also a co-creator of the Latin American Innovation Rally. He also work in countries such as Agentina, Bolivia, Honduras and Panama. He has also worked as a consultant on innovation and digital transformation for multiple international organizations, including FAO, IDB, UNDP, and IICA, as well as private companies such as Banco Santander, PwC, and McDonald’s. Topolansky is a certified Entrepreneurial Educator from Babson College and an Entrepreneurship Fellow from Stanford University, STVP, as well as holding a postgraduate degree in Digital Transformation from MIT. He has been a visiting professor in Innovation and Digital Transformation at the Universidad del Rosario in Colombia and a TEDx speaker at UNL Santa Fe in Argentina and co-founders of Global Shapers Montevideo Hub.
