Lilit Makunts, Ambassador of Armenia to the United States, Embassy of Armenia to the United States. Primary responsibilities include expanding and deepening the scope of political, security, economic, commercial, social, and cultural ties between Armenia and the United States of America based on common interests and shared values. L.Makunts graduated from Yerevan State University, holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Linguistics, worked as a professor for about 14 years. Hold the position of the Minister of Culture of Armenia in 2018. In 2019 was elected a Member of Armenian Parliament and served as a Majority Leader. Was appointed as an Ambassador of Armenia to the United States in 2021.
