Amy Madison, Deputy Director, City of Schertz Economic Development Corporation Amy Madison has 26 years of
economic development experience in Oklahoma and Texas where she recruited over 76 projects resulting in over 7,200
jobs and over $3.2 Billion in new capital investments. Her diverse roles range from working for a chamber to raising
over $5MM to start a regional two-county partnership and finally, working for an economic development corporation
where she oversaw development of an industrial park. In her current role at Schertz Economic Development
Corporation (SEDC), she oversees recruitment, retention, workforce development and marketing efforts. She has a
bachelor’s degree from Phillips University, a master’s degree from Oklahoma University and certifications as an ED
Professional (CEcD), ED Finance Professional (EDFP), ED Master Practitioner (EDMP), and Certified Public Manager
(CPM), and achieved accreditation status for Economic Development Organizations from International Economic
Development Council where she has been a member since 2001 and since 2019 has served on the IEDC Board.
As a member of the International Economic Development Board, I am representing the organization on this trip. Our
goal at IEDC is to find new ways to connect with international economic development efforts – to support as well as
benefit from the relationships that are formed. ACE is one of the organizations that allows this opportunity for our
professionals to engage in powerful and meaningful projects that help our international friends grow their economies
and prosper as a result.
