Angeles Vela del Río, Executive Director, Csoftmty She holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from
Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from Technologic de Monterrey. She began at the IT Cluster of Nuevo León,
CSOFTMTY, leading Funds and Financing and later Human Capital. Today, she is the General Director of the Cluster,
driving initiatives in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Digital Transformation, Digital Talent, Strategic Markets and
Nearshoring, Gender Equity and Inclusion, as well as Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies. She has
championed programs to increase the participation of women in the tech industry in Mexico and has promoted training
for over 6,000 children and youth in STEM for eight consecutive years. She serves on several councils, including the
Nuevo León Council for Digital Transformation, Invest Monterrey, and MXTI. Under her leadership, the Cluster has
earned global Is the only it cluster out of Europe with this certifications, awards, and recognition, representing more than
230 IT organizations in Northern Mexico. She has been recognized as STRONG WOMEN IN IT 3 times.
I think Cordoba is very similar to Monterrey in some economic areas, so I think we can forge some alliances in the
technological area with Innovation Centers, universities, technological development centers, among other areas. We’ve
already had some contacts with them through Argentines based in Monterrey, Mexico, especially in the areas of
technology, smart cities, digital government, academia, and talent. Personally, I think Argentina and Mexico can have
great commercial relationships in the area of technological innovation. I’m interested in learning about Globant’s case,
since it’s one of the companies that belongs to Csoftmty.
