Vanessa Delgadillo serves as Executive Assistant to Mayor Paul Young at the City of Memphis, where she advances the
Mayor’s strategic agenda through high-level coordination, stakeholder engagement, and policy implementation. Her
work centers on driving inclusive operational innovation across city departments, with a focus on initiatives that expand
access, efficiency, and civic participation. With a background in public policy, community development, and cross-sector
collaboration, Vanessa has supported projects that strengthen institutional capacity and promote equitable growth. She
holds a master’s in public administration and policy from the University of Memphis and is pursuing a master’s in
international relations at Harvard University. Her professional mission is to foster inclusive governance, sustainable
urban development, and international cooperation through evidence-based policymaking and community-driven
innovation.
I am participating in the ACE Córdoba program as part of the City of Memphis’s preparation to host next year’s ACE
edition. This experience offers an opportunity to strengthen intercity cooperation and exchange best practices in
inclusive economic development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. I am particularly interested in learning from
Córdoba’s approaches to sustainable growth, civic engagement, and public-private collaboration. This visit also
represents the symbolic handover of the ACE torch to Memphis, and I look forward to fostering lasting partnerships that
will enrich next year’s program and deepen collaboration among participating cities.
