Alan Senra

Alan Senra Cheib is a Strategic Advisor for Green Investments at Investminas for the  Government of Minas Gerais in  Brazil. As the Strategic Advisor for Green Investments, he is responsible for developing the agenda for attracting green investments in the Government of Minas Gerais.  He works in the articulation between the different spheres of the public sector, investment funds, universities and industries, supporting the whole process of foreign direct investment in the state.  He has been working in  regional development for 7 years, having worked as an Executive Secretary, Business Analyst and Project Manager for international enterprises, local companies, industry federations, universities and in the government. Mr. Senra is an Economist  with a master's degree in Innovation and Technology  from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil and a postgraduate degree  in Social Economy  from the University of Coimbra in Portugal. He  also attended a specialization course at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

As a young economist oriented towards social and regional development, the position of Strategic Advisor for Green Investments in the prestigious Public Investment Agency Investminas of the Secretariat of Economic Development of the Government of Minas Gerais is the biggest opportunity of his professional career in the last 4 months. Mr. Senra would like to present projects and investment opportunities in the chain of Green Hydrogen, Biogas, Biomethane, Electronics Recycling, Reforestation, Bioeconomics, Waste Management, and Electromobility. He will bring clarifications about the economic vocations of the 5 regions of the state of Minas Gerais. Heseeks to invite speakers to participate in renewable energy and clean mobility events in December 2022 in Belo Horizonte and in 3 other government events in 2023.  He also offers support in the following: 

  • Site location work – identification of land, warehouses, industries, suppliers and partners;  Communication with banks and financial agencies. 
  • Tax and fiscal understanding 
  • Building partnerships with universities, technology centers, and applied research centers. 
  • Presentation of success cases from Minas Gerais with photovoltaic energy, aerospace sector and about the IT cluster of Belo Horizonte.
