I have a degree in agronomic engineering and am completing a master’s degree in environmental management. In addition, my participation in several postgraduate level courses in the environmental sector allows me to have a solid knowledge of the environmental sector and economic developments. Likewise, I have more than 20 years of work experience, working with government organizations and international cooperation organizations in planning, implementation and monitoring of programs and projects. In this sense, I make particular reference to my experience in the Secretariat of the Environment (SEAM) and currently the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development (MADES), from starting as a park ranger to reaching various senior positions such as Cabinet Director, National Director of Climate Change and of Planning. In the different positions that I held in said institution, I was able to support activities for the good performance of Paraguay on issues related to international commitments. These experiences have allowed me to develop my skills as a manager and also managerial at an institutional level for dialogue and negotiation with a diversity of local, national and international actors, as well as my abilities for critical and objective analysis. I have extensive experience in developing terms of reference for public calls, reviewing and evaluating project proposals, and continuous monitoring and feedback to ensure project success.
I am very excited about the idea of being able to participate in such an important event with many international organizations, since in addition to being a very important milestone in my professional career, I would like to collaborate and contribute to the event and to Paraguay.
