
Adriana serves as the Assistant Director for Business Development at Arlington Economic Development (AED), situated in one of the most vibrant hubs in the United States, just minutes away from Washington, D.C. Businesses, regardless of their size, thrive in this inclusive and supportive environment, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local and state governments that prioritize growth and sustainability.
In her role as Assistant Director, Adriana acts as a bridge, fostering partnerships between Arlington and international entities, facilitating connections between businesses and key players in the ecosystem, and guiding the implementation of various business initiatives in cutting-edge sectors like AI and hightech, aerospace, cybersecurity, and fintech.
Prior to her current position, Adriana championed collaboration among nations in the Americas while working at the Organization of American States (OAS). Over a span of more than 15 years, she spearheaded strategic programs and built networks of cooperation, engaging with governmental bodies, corporations, universities, and entrepreneurial ventures. Notably, as a project manager and lead coordinator, she played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the impactful Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) program.
Adriana is passionate about supporting the well-being of societies, promoting women’s leadership, and being a fierce advocate for fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) through her work.
Arlington is actively seeking partnerships with regional and international stakeholders to advance our innovation and economic development goals. We extend a warm invitation to companies of all sizes interested in collaborating with us to either launch or expand their operations in proximity to Washington, D.C. At present, we are diligently laying the groundwork for an Innovation District, bolstering our technology and startup ecosystem, and eagerly embracing all potential partners keen on joining forces with us.
