As the lead for education and workforce development initiatives at the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust, I see participation in ACE Michigan as an ideal opportunity to, not only learn about the state’s economic development, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem but also as a chance to engage in meaningful connections with experts and decision-makers in life sciences, mobility, advanced manufacturing and aerospace industries. Our current strategy focuses on integrating best-practices to our own innovation and development model; exposure to international and national key players would be an ideal opportunity. On the other hand, as the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust positions the island on a better track to scale it’s impact and influence in economic development and innovation and entrepreneurship, there is much we could offer to organizations interested in broadening their scope and reach, as our facilities, real estate, workforce and academic organizations are ready to engage. Needless to say, this is an exciting opportunity for me and my organization.
