The City of Brampton is one of the youngest and fastest growing Cities in Canada. Our community is diverse, we speak over 170 languages and are represented by 250 cultures. We would like to apply for our Senior Manager of Economic Development & International Relations to attend in order to connect and build partnerships with attendees of the ACE Conference. Brampton has a dedicated Investment Attraction lead in Brampton that works in the Caribbean market, this is unique in the Canadian market. The Brampton Economic Development Office is one of only 70 economic development organizations in the world to be accredited. Learning from the best is a priority for our team and we would learn a great deal from peers and partners at the Conference. Brampton has a strong, diverse economy with four sectors of strength; Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Technology & Entrepreneurship and Food & Beverage Processing . These sectors match well with the focus of the Conference. Michigan is a large trading partner of Ontario, there are many ties with our Advanced Manufacturing companies. Brampton has a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and has built a robust Innovation District in the Centre of Canada’s Innovation Corridor in Downtown Brampton. Our team would learn a great deal about Michigan’s Innovation Ecosystem at this Conference and look for partnerships.
