Juliano Lazaro, Commercial Director of Orbital Engenharia S.A. is specialized in upstream and downstream Systems and services within the space industry. Juliano holds a degree in Cartography and Bachelor of Law, with postgraduate studies in Business Executive Leadership and ongoing studies in Project Management. His career began in the technical field, transitioning to Business Development, where he has worked across various industries, offering solutions in Geo-intelligence, Defense and Space. Juliano has held key roles in renowned companies worldwide, including Telespazio, Embraer Defense, Hexagon, and ICEYE, serving as the Regional Business Director for Latin America. He has led projects of significant national and international impact, such as the Lessonia SAR Constellation, Monitoring of PAC works, Oil Spills Detection at Campos Basin, Cartography of the State of Amapá, Radiography of the Amazon spanning 1.4 million square kilometers, Mapping of susceptible areas to landslides and flooding, and participation in projects like Sisfron (Brazilian border control) and Argentina’s National Integrated Natural Disaster Management System. As a Co-author of Chapter 4 of the book ‘Remote Sensing for Disasters,’ Juliano contributes his expertise to the field. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and has a passion for adventure sports. Juliano resides in São José dos Campos, part of Brazil’s aerospace cluster near São Paulo city, with his wife, four children, and a Lhasa Apso dog.
