Nicolás Rodriguez Aristizabal, Investment Director, Medellín and Metropolitan Area´s Cooperation and Investment Agency – ACI Medellín. Nicolás Rodriguez Aristizabal is an Industrial Engineer and holds an MBA from ESADE Business School. He currently serves as the Investment Director at the Medellín and Metropolitan Area´s Cooperation and Investment Agency – ACI Medellín, where he leads the investment attraction strategy for the region, drives efforts to secure funding for the city’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, and fosters international business opportunity connections for the Medellín Mayor’s Office. With over 10 years of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, international business, foreign direct investment, and global marketing, Nicolás has worked with organizations such as Procolombia, Ruta N, and Innpulsa. His expertise lies in driving economic development through strategic initiatives and fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
I am eager to join the ACE Illinois program to connect investment and trade opportunities between Medellín, Colombia’s second-largest city and a hub for technology and entrepreneurship, and Illinois. I believe that the program will provide valuable insights and connections that will enable me to foster collaborations and explore mutual business prospects between both regions. Additionally, I am interested in discovering opportunities for cooperation between the governments of Medellín and Illinois, specifically for joint projects that promote economic development and innovation. This program aligns perfectly with my professional goals of driving investment and creating meaningful partnerships
